Your cycle times are lagging, and you&amp;rsquo;re probably wondering if it&amp;rsquo;s finally time to drop a fortune on a brand-new machine.&#xA;But before you do that, take a look at your heating oven. Most of the time, that&amp;rsquo;s where the real bottleneck is. Swapping out those tired, degraded IR lamps for high-density halogen quartz tubes can actually breathe some life back into your output.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;It comes down to heat density.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Think about the wattage-to-length ratio. If you&amp;rsquo;re using a standard 250W or 500W tube, it might just not be hitting the preform wall hard enough. By bumping up the wattage—as long as it matches your current power supply—you increase the infrared flux.&#xA;Essentially, the PET hits its glass transition temperature way faster. You&amp;rsquo;re only shaving off fractions of a second per cycle. It doesn&amp;rsquo;t sound like much, right? But over a 24-hour shift, those tiny wins add up to thousands of extra bottles.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The gear matters.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We use heavy-wall quartz glass because filaments hate thermal stress. If the glass is too thin, they burn out. It&amp;rsquo;s that simple.&#xA;Most of our replacements use R7s or SK15 connectors. They&amp;rsquo;re the industry standard for a reason: they don&amp;rsquo;t shake loose when the machine is humming along at full speed. We also offer coated tubes. These are great because they focus the heat exactly where it belongs—on the plastic—rather than heating up your machine frame.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;One thing to watch out for, though.&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;More heat isn&amp;rsquo;t &amp;ldquo;free.&amp;rdquo; If you swap a 1500W tube for a 2500W one, you&amp;rsquo;re dumping a lot more waste heat into the oven.&#xA;This is where people usually trip up. Your cooling fans have to be able to keep up. If your vents are clogged or just too small, you&amp;rsquo;ll start seeing &amp;ldquo;hot spots&amp;rdquo; on your preforms. That leads to uneven walls or, worse, burnt PET.&#xA;Do yourself a favor: check your airflow before you start wiring in the new lamps. It&amp;rsquo;ll save you a massive headache later.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
