The first instinct is to call the OEM, but that usually means waiting weeks for a proprietary part that costs way more than it should. Here’s the secret: you don’t actually need the “official” part. We build our replacement lamps to be simple, drop-in swaps. They work with about 95% of the equipment out there. We just focus on the three things that actually matter: how much heat they put out, how they plug in, and the light spectrum. The nitty-gritty on fit It really comes down to wattage and voltage. This is the part you can’t guess on. If your machine runs on 230V or 400V, your lamp has to match that exactly. Put a low-voltage lamp in a high-voltage circuit?**Pop.**Gone in a second. We keep tubes in every standard length from 150mm to 500mm so the heat hits the preform exactly where it’s supposed to. Now, you might be tempted to go for higher wattage to speed up your cycle times. Just be careful. More heat puts a lot of stress on your cooling fans. If your airflow is a bit weak, those high-wattage lamps can actually overheat your oven housing. What they’re made of We use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because these lamps go through a brutal cycle of heating up and cooling down, and cheap glass just can’t handle that kind of thermal shock. For the plugs, we stick to R7s or Sk15 connectors. They’re the industry standard for a reason—they seat firmly in the socket so you don’t have to worry about arcing. And for those of you who need the heat to hit a bit differently, we can add specialized coatings to the quartz. It helps the IR penetrate the plastic deeper and faster. Getting back to work The best part is the installation. You can slide these into Sidel, Krones, or Husky-style ovens without touching your wiring. Since we keep these in stock and ready to ship, you aren’t stuck staring at a dead machine for two weeks while an OEM order processes.
